Our 2018 Widow/Widower Retreat was a time of enrichment for an underserved segment of our culture and churches. There were 71 widowed attendees who came from eight different states (TN, KY, MO, AR, AL, GA, IN, & OH). They ranged in age from their 30’s to their 90’s. They represented 2,414 years of marriage and 408 years of widowhood. What valuable experience we ought use for the glory of God and benefit of others!  Attendees built their social network by meeting many new people.  There were times of worship together as well as studies to renew the heart and strengthen faith. Since laughter is good medicine and cheap therapy, the retreat was sprinkled with levity. Of course, the mealtimes were fit for royalty. They provided additional times for encouraging social interaction.  Two banners displayed key mottos for the Widowhood Workshop ministry:
